Grant or aid programs in various forms are provided in all US states. These programs may vary in their terms or eligibility requirements depending on the requirements of each individual state's Department Of Education or higher education agency. However, many of these programs are jointly funded by the state and the federal government through the Federal State Student Incentive Grant Program. There are some basic requirements for almost all state grant programs. You usually have to be resident of the state which is awarding the grant. Most states also require that you attend a college in the state in which you reside if you receive state aid.
